Deciphering Russia: Setting Up and Optimising Your Logistic Footprint will be held on November 21st, Saturday, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in London. The one-day invitational workshop starts at 9 a.m.
The workshop will feature a panel of seasoned veterans in Russian logistics, operators on the ground, and supply chain strategists with vast knowledge about the Russian business landscape.
The panel will be chaired by Professor Richard Wilding of the Cranfield School of Management, a recognized speaker and published writer in the field of supply chain management.

Neovia Logistics Moves Headquarters from Illinois to Dallas Fort Worth
Global logistics firm to bring at least 225 jobs
September 2013—Illinois-based Neovia Logistics Services will be moving its head offices to Irving, Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) by November 2013.
Neovia’s headquarters have been in Downers Grove, Illinois since 1986, a legacy from its former days as Caterpillar Logistics Services. It rebranded to Neovia in November 2012.
With the company ramping up growth, the search for new premises had Neovia looking at different cities in the US.
"The DFW region now ranks as the fourth largest U.S. metro, with a well-educated, multi-cultural labor force," said Neovia CEO Jos Opdeweegh. "As one of the top logistics hub cities in the United States, Dallas has a world-class international airport, the second largest railroad system in the nation, and an outstanding highway infrastructure."
Neovia executed a 46,000+ square foot lease over a 10-year term at 6363 N. State Highway 161 in Las Colinas Corporate Center. The company will be relocating and creating more than 225 new jobs for the city and region, many of them white collar, executive positions. Plans are underway to conduct a job fair and to post openings online and on social media. Neovia plans to be fully operational in Irving by year-end 2013.

Neovia to Acquire MIQ Contract Logistics Business
DOWNERS GROVE, IL. (June 18, 2013) — Neovia Logistics, a global provider of complex supply chain solutions and logistics services primarily serving the automotive, industrial, mining, aerospace and defense industries, announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the contract logistics division of MIQ Holdings, Inc..
The contract logistics business provides warehouse management and fulfillment services, distribution solutions and other value-added logistics services through a network of nine facilities in the United States and Canada.
"The contract logistics business has a blue-chip customer base, talented employees, a comprehensive network of facilities across North America, and a well-deserved reputation for exceptional customer service," said Neovia CEO Jos Opdeweegh. "This acquisition is a great strategic fit for Neovia and creates exciting new opportunities for our business, particularly in end markets like technology, retail and healthcare, where we are looking to expand."
Platinum Equity acquired 65 percent of Neovia (formerly Caterpillar Logistics Services) in July 2012 and rebranded the business near the end of last year. Caterpillar retained a 35 percent stake.
Platinum Equity Partner Jacob Kotzubei expressed enthusiasm about the trajectory of the business in its first year as part of Platinum’s portfolio.
"We have made a lot of progress at Neovia in a short period of time. We carved the business out from Caterpillar, assembled a world-class management team and established a new corporate identity," said Mr. Kotzubei. Neovia Extends Relationship with Husqvarna Group
December 18, 2012 —Neovia Logistics Services, formerly known as Caterpillar Logistics Services, announced the renewal and extension of its relationship with Husqvarna Group.

The partnership between Neovia and Husqvarna began in 1997 with an agreement to provide warehousing, special services, transportation administration, VAT and intrastate reporting services in the 18,000 square meter distribution center in Metz, France. The new agreement extends this relationship into 2016 which enables Neovia to better align their logistics solutions to Husqvarna’s business.
The Husqvarna Group is the world’s largest producer of outdoor power products including chainsaws, trimmers, lawn mowers and garden tractors. They are also the European leader in consumer watering products and one of the world leaders in cutting equipment and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries.

Trane awards Neovia Energy Efficiency Award
November 29, 2012 —Trane, a global provider of indoor comfort systems and solutions and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, presented its Energy Efficiency Leader Award to Neovia Logistics this week.

Neovia Logistics Services Appoints Chief Technology Officer

Platinum Equity, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, acquired a majority interest in the company from Caterpillar Inc. in July. Caterpillar retained a 35 percent equity stake.

Caterpillar Completes Sale of Third Party Logistics Business to Platinum Equity
August 1, 2012 — Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) and Platinum Equity announced today that Platinum Equity's acquisition of a majority interest in Caterpillar Logistics Services has been completed. Caterpillar will retain a 35 percent equity stake in the business. The overall transaction is valued at approximately $750 million.
Caterpillar Logistics Services is the third party logistics division of Caterpillar's wholly owned subsidiary, Caterpillar Logistics Inc. (Cat Logistics). Platinum intends to establish the business as a standalone company under a new brand that will be announced at a later date.
"The sale of the third party logistics business was driven by the strategic focus on the significant growth opportunities in our company's core businesses," said Steve Larson, vice president of Caterpillar and chairman and president of Cat Logistics.
